Strategy and Management

Management

Sustainability is an integral part of the TIMETOACT GROUP’s corporate strategy and operational processes. Our aim is to systematically integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects into our business activities and to create long-term value for our customers, employees and society.

Our sustainability goals are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). By specifically linking our strategic goals to selected SDGs, we make a measurable contribution to global sustainable development and ensure transparency regarding our progress.

Our understanding of responsible business conduct is based on internationally recognised frameworks. In particular, we are guided by the ISO 26000 guidelines on social responsibility, as well as the fundamental principles and core labour standards of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). These form the basis for our policies and decisions regarding ethical conduct, human rights, fair working conditions, environmental protection, and transparent and responsible corporate governance.

Although these guidelines cannot be certified, we use them as a binding framework and systematically integrate their principles into our internal policies and decision-making processes. In this way, we ensure that our business activities are conducted in accordance with internationally recognised standards.

To implement our sustainability strategy in practice, we rely on established and externally audited management systems. The companies within the TIMETOACT GROUP can obtain standardised certification to ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 27001 (information security), ISO 27701 (data protection) and ISO 14001 (environmental management). These certifications ensure the structured integration of requirements into our business processes and form the basis for the continuous improvement of our performance.

By linking international guiding principles (SDGs, ISO 26000, ILO) with certified management systems, we ensure that sustainability is both strategically embedded and effectively implemented at an operational level within the TIMETOACT GROUP. Our approach enables us to make progress measurable, continuously improve our ESG performance and provide transparent insights for our stakeholders.

Sustainability organisation

The topic of sustainability is firmly anchored in Felix Binsack (founder and CEO of the GROUP). He is kept informed on an ongoing basis by the management team.

The ESG management team for sustainability consists of the compliance officer, the head of people & culture, and the MMS officer. The collaboration is divided into four overarching sustainability areas with the aim of promoting the sustainable development of the TIMETOACT GROUP in a topic-specific manner: (1) strategy, (2) environment, (3) social, (4) governance.

Together with the managers of all subsidiaries, they form the Core ESG Team and are responsible for developing GROUP standards that take into account the requirements of all stakeholders.

In addition to the management and core teams, employees from various GROUP functions and companies within the GROUP work together in project teams to ensure the continuous improvement process in the area of sustainability. Examples of this are the “Diversity” and “Women in Tech” project teams.

Implementation

The implementation of sustainability measures to achieve the set goals is carried out in a cross-company collaboration. This ensures that all requirements are taken into account at an early stage, that implementation in the companies runs smoothly, and that all employees are informed.

  • Networked collaboration: Specific strategic sustainability measures are developed in close cooperation with senior management, the core team, and the management team to ensure that we take effective steps to implement our sustainability strategy.

  • The core team meets monthly to discuss the current project status, informs management, and implements approved measures across the GROUP in the individual companies. The GROUP's sustainability strategy guides their work.

  • Corporate responsibility: Depending on the process, jointly developed solutions are implemented either centrally by the GROUP or by the individual companies.

  • The measures are implemented within the framework of project teams (e.g., Diversity or Women in Tech), which transfer tasks into tickets that ensure processing by the respective responsible parties as well as continuous review and reporting.

  • Documentation, scheduling, and project planning for our ESG activities are accessible to all employees, for example via a ticket system. In this way, we aim to raise awareness of sustainability among colleagues, encourage participation and collaboration, and enable monitoring.

Audit

For the GROUP, comprehensive reporting is crucial to ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with strategic goals. Reporting also serves to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Responsibilities: Responsibilities for reporting are clearly defined, with the Head of Management Systems leading activities and monitoring progress.

  • Reporting criteria: The monitoring criteria include strategic goals, the value of the GROUP, formulated qualitative goals, overarching themes, concrete measures, quantitative goals or KPIs, and their definition and explanation of data quality.

  • KPI definition: The definition of KPIs is crucial for monitoring our sustainability goals. Centralized reporting for all GROUP companies helps to provide a complete picture of our sustainability activities.

  • Annual target review: The management and the sustainability team review the set targets annually and develop an effective catalog of measures to implement the strategy.

Strategy

The ESG management team is responsible for developing, reviewing, and implementing the sustainability strategy and for achieving the sustainability goals.

The development of a comprehensive sustainability strategy is a key result of the core team's collaboration with senior management. It sets out the strategically desired direction and provides clear instructions on how to proceed, implement, and review all sustainability activities. It thus provides a functional working framework and the necessary scope for decision-making in the daily work of all those involved.

Together with the performance of a materiality analysis, the strategy is reviewed annually and adjusted if necessary.

Fields of action

In the current reporting year, the TIMETOACT GROUP defined the key areas of action for implementing its sustainability strategy.

  • We used the ESRS long list to identify sustainability aspects. We also expanded the selection with individually identified industry- and company-specific topics. The GROUP-specific ecovadis questionnaire was used as a basis for this.

  • When evaluating the topics, we used the relevance to our stakeholders, consistency with our corporate values, and feasibility by the GROUP as evaluation criteria.

The results of the analysis are assigned to the three dimensions of environment, social, and governance (ESG) below.
