The cloud is a very dynamic environment. Atlassian responds to customer feedback and frequently makes improvements to the cloud, migration options, the marketplace and support.

Consider apps early and broadly.
If your company uses apps, it is better to start the assessment and identify migration paths too early than too late. This way, problems won't only arise later during the actual migration.

Tests are the be-all and end-all.
Test, test and test again: production migrations run more smoothly after extensive testing. During user acceptance tests, make a note of where users have questions. Take this into account during onboarding and in the training materials.
